Fire hazardous work means working with machinery and equipment that generates sparks and heat that can lead to fire. Hot work includes the use of open flames, hot air, welding and cutting equipment.
The insurance industry in Norway requires that anyone carrying out fire-hazardous work must have a certificate confirming that they have completed training in working under such conditions.
The certificate is valid for five years.
